Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Tech (Scrub Tech) in Macon, GA to join the operating room team. The role covers 40 hours per week with a four 10-hour day schedule and occasional call, providing support across procedures and instruments.

The candidate will prepare sterile fields and assist surgeons and nurses as needed. Minimum education includes a high school diploma and completion of a surgical tech program; certification within 12 months is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of surgical tech program (technical or military school).
• Certification must be attained within 12 months to remain in position.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designated equipment and supplies used in the case.
• Prepare sterile field, instrumentation and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and assists the nurse and anesthesia provider as needed.
• Flexible to accommodate changing assignments and workload; willingness to learn new skills.
