Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Certified Surgical Technologist Resident, you will ensure all equipment and instruments are operational and well-organized. You will assist staff in providing care for operative patients before, during, and after surgery.

• Ensure proper instrumentation and supplies are available in the operating room.
• Help the sterile operative team, perform scrub and circulating duties, and routine housekeeping.
• Apply principles of asepsis, infection control, and medical ethics.
• Facilitate safe surgical procedures.
• Position and prepare the patient on the operating table.
• Assist in maintaining correct needle, sponge, and instrument counts.

Qualifications Needed

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Surgical Technologist certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
