Job summary

BayCare's Surgical Technologist Department Pool in New Port Richey, FL seeks qualified CSTs to provide technical support in the perioperative period under the supervision of an RN. The pool operates with varying shift hours and on-call responsibilities.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program, CST certification, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program.
• CST (Surgical Tech) certification.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of an RN according to accepted clinical standards of care.
• Maintains sterile technique and sterile field setup, including instrument handling and laser equipment use and maintenance.
