Job summary

Hialeah Hospital in Florida seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, you will prepare sterile supplies and equipment for procedures and perform room duties involved in direct patient care.

The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited surgical technology program (or military program). A CST credential is preferred, and you must maintain a BLS card; one year OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or surgical technology military program.
• Certification as CST preferred by NBSTSA or ABSA.
• One year OR experience preferred.
• Must maintain BLS card from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of sterile supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures.
• Perform appropriate room duties involved in direct patient care.
• Serve as member of the operating room team.
