Job summary

The ideal candidate has a Surgical Technology program background, 1 year of experience, and relevant VDHP/CST/NCCT certifications, with CPR/BLS within 90 days of hire. You may float across RHS facilities to cover cases.

Qualifications

• Program Graduate, Surgical Technology (Preferred).
• 1 year Experience in surgical tech (Preferred).
• Surgical Technologist - VDHP Licensed as Surgical Technologist with State of Virginia Upon Hire(Required).
• CPR/BLS Certification - AHA/ARC/ISHI within 90 Days(Required).
• Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - NBSTSA Upon Hire(Required).
• Tech in Surgery - NCCT Upon Hire(Required).

Responsibilities

• Assists with coordination of nursing care of the patient in the operating room.
• Maintains equipment, instrumentation and supplies on the sterile field.
• Ensures aseptic technique and proper instrument usage.
• Supports surgeon preference cards and schedules equipment needs.
• Demonstrates teamwork with the perioperative team to ensure patient safety.
• Floats among RHS facilities to support service delivery.
