Qualifications

• Program Graduate, Surgical Technology (Preferred)
• 2 years Surgical Tech experience (Required)
• 1 year Surgical Tech experience at Riverside Health System (Required)
• Virginia licensure as Surgical Technologist upon hire (Required)
• CPR/BLS Certification upon hire (Required)
• Certified Surgical Tech (CST) or NCCT (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians to provide for the specialized needs of the surgical patient.
• Maintains aseptic environment during procedures and records breaks in technique per standards.
• Monitors and supports safe practices per National Patient Safety Goals and RHS policies.
• Ensures preference cards are maintained and updated; communicates changes to team members.
• Supports perioperative team and participates in training and equipment evaluations.
