Department
DH OPERATING ROOM PAV Outpatient Surgery Center features four state-of-the-art surgical suites, equipped with 4K video integration. Our clinical staff are highly skilled with extensive surgical experience. We specialize in outpatient surgeries including general, dental, gender reassignment, orthopedics, sports, podiatry, GU/GYN, ophthalmology, vascular, pediatric, oral maxillofacial, plastic, hand surgeries, and ENT. Our goal is to provide compassionate, high-quality outpatient surgical care to the Denver Health community. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1.
Job Summary
Under close supervision of an RN, participates as a member of the perioperative nursing team by performing perioperative surgical technologist tasks for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients undergoing surgical and endoscopy procedures. Responsibilities include preparing supplies and equipment, scrubbing for surgeries, transporting patients, and possibly working in sterile processing or the OR as needed. Performs scrub duties during surgeries under the supervision of a qualified surgeon, including holding retractors and passing instruments. Complies with Colorado Revised Statutes, Title 12, Article 43.2.
Essential Functions
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Work Experience: 1-3 years healthcare experience required.
Licenses: BLS, CST, and Surgical Technologist license in Colorado required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of medical equipment, safety protocols, effective communication, precepting skills, ability to assist with casts/splints, perform environmental maintenance, and support clinical operations.

Salary: $26.47 - $39.71/hr
