Job summary

MarinHealth Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist for night shifts to support the intraoperative team under the direct supervision of an RN. The role requires graduation from a Surgical Technologist program and certification where applicable.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and hold certified scrub tech credentials, with at least two years of hospital experience. BLS is required at hire, and familiarity with sterile technique is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent, Surgical Technologist program graduate.
• Certification program completion and exam preferred and required for Certified level.
• Two years hospital or health care facility experience required; two years Surgical Technologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as scrub role under RN supervision on intraoperative team.
• Assist with patient care activities following department policies.
• Maintain aseptic/sterile technique and sterile field during procedures.
• Validate sterility of supplies and proper instrument counts.
• Assist with specimen handling and preparation for processing.
• Teach and share knowledge of surgical technologist role with team.
