Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical environment by organizing sterile drapes, solutions, and instrumentation.
• Support surgical flow by providing instruments and supplies quickly during operations.
• Lead patient positioning and safety by collaborating with the team to prepare and drape patients.
• Maintain a sterile field and conduct instrument counts to ensure patient safety.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Prepare the surgical environment by meticulously organizing sterile drapes, solutions, and instrumentation to ensure the operating suite is mission-ready for every procedure.
• Support surgical flow by anticipating the needs of the surgeon and providing the required instruments and supplies with speed and precision throughout the operation.
• Lead patient positioning and safety by collaborating with the surgical team to prepare, transport, and drape patients, ensuring their physical protection and clinical readiness.
• Guarantee procedural accuracy by maintaining a highly organized sterile field and conducting rigorous, proactive counts of all instruments and supplies to ensure patient safety.
  

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following:
• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• Neurosurgery technologist with experience in complex craniotomies, complex spine deformity cases, Minimally invasive Neurosurgeries, pediatric neuro, and DBS
