Job summary

SCA Health in Rutherford, New Jersey is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support multi-specialty operating rooms. The CST will scrub during procedures, prepare instruments and assist with room turnover to ensure patient safety and efficiency.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, completion of an accredited CST program, and BLS certification. Prior CST experience is preferred; certification is encouraged. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Prior CST experience preferred.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments and transport to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the room and preparation for next patient.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Graduate or equivalent

Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program

Current Surgical Technologist certification

Prior Experience as a Surgical Technologist

Successful completion of BLS Course within 90 days of employment
