Job summary

East Memphis Surgery Center, a multi-specialty surgical facility, is hiring a Surgical Technologist (Certified). The role involves assisting in operations under surgeons, nurses, and OR staff. Requires CST, BLS, and 1–2 years OR experience preferred; may accept 0–2 years in related fields.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• CST certification, or based on state regulations, grandfathered in without certification.
• Prefer 1–2 years clinical OR experience; may accept 0–2 years in related field.
• Must be certified in Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile field with instruments, drapes, and solutions before operations.
• Aids in patient positioning and prep for procedures.
• Passes instruments to surgeons and assistants during operations.
• Assists with instrument counts and specimen handling.
• Cleans and restocks the procedure room after procedures.
• Maintains inventory and physician preference cards.
