Job summary

Endeavor Health in Naperville, IL is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to join our operating room team. This full-time position offers 36 hours per week, day shifts from 7 am to 7 pm with rotating weekends and holidays.

You will assist surgical teams before, during, and after procedures, prepare the OR, and serve as scrub during surgery under RN supervision. Requirements include graduation from an accredited CST program, CPR certification, and AST CST certification with the expectation to obtain

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Certified Surgical Technician program or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• National CST certification required; if not held, obtain within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, perform patient care tasks to ensure safety and comfort and assist the surgical team before, during, and after surgery.
• Prepare operating room and act as scrub person as directed by the surgical team.

What You Will Do

• Under general supervision of a Registered Nurse and according to established procedures, performs multiple patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for care, comfort and safety of patients. Assists surgical team preparing for, during and after surgery. Prepares operating room for surgery. Acts as scrub person during surgery by performing a combination of tasks as directed by the surgical team.

What You Will Need

• Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited Certified Surgical Technician program or equivalent
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association
• National certification through the Association of Surgical Technologists is required. If applicant does not possess certification at time of hire, must obtain it within 18 months of hire date
