Job summary

UCHealth Eye Center AMC seeks a certified surgical technologist to perform first scrub duties across multiple service lines in an on-site setting. You will scrub core and specialty procedures, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety while supporting the surgeon’s needs.

The position requires CST certification and active BLS; high school diploma or GED and surgical tech education are necessary. Competitive hourly pay is offered with comprehensive UCHealth benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program or an Associates Degree or military training.
• State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration (DORA) required; BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification by NBSTSA or NCCT required.

Responsibilities

• Performs first scrub role independently in multiple service lines.
• Able to scrub core and specialty procedures.
• Precepts other staff in the scrub role and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Anticipates surgeon requests and ensures medication safety on the field.
