Job summary

UCHealth Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO seeks a certified surgical technologist to perform as a proficient scrub role across multiple service lines, scrubbing core and specialty procedures. You will maintain sterile technique, manage instrumentation, and support the surgical team with counts and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program or associate degree or military training.
• CST certification NBSTSA/NCCT and state registration (DORA).
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required; CPR card valid through start date.

Responsibilities

• Performs first scrub role independently in multiple service lines and can scrub core and specialty procedures.
• Uses instrumentation and equipment properly; assists with surgeon preference cards.
• Able to precept other staff in the scrub role.
• Maintains sterile technique throughout procedures; ensures medication safety; conducts surgical counts; anticipates surgeon requests.
• Works in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
