Job summary

AdventHealth in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Part-time Surgical Tech to join a dynamic team. You will prepare sterile supplies, assist surgeons, and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures, ensuring patient safety and efficiency in the operating room.

The role requires strong knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, and rapid response to emergencies, with at least a high school diploma and vocational training.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment and sterile field setup.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and ability to anticipate emergencies.
• Ability to organize, promote and conduct unit in-services.
• 2+ years as certified surgical tech preferred; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Check supplies and equipment for procedures and scrub in.
• Set up sterile table with instruments and medications needed.
• Pass instruments to surgeon and assist with gowning and gloving.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with terminal cleaning.
• Handle specimens with accuracy and respond to emergencies.
