Job summary

BayCare in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the perioperative team. The technologist supports the RN, prepares sterile fields, and coordinates specimen handling in a fast-paced operating room environment.

The role requires graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technology Program (or equivalent military/hospital-based training) with NBSTSA/NCCT certification and BLS. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• Accredited Surgical Technology Program completion or equivalent military/hospital-based training with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience.
• Surgical Tech Certification from NBSTSA or NCCT.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with AHA or ARC.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

• Performs technical support in the perioperative period under RN supervision.
• Prepares equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room and patients to ensure sterile field.
• Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens, etc.
• Assists with inventory of sterile supplies.
• May assist in patient transport.
