Job summary

A healthcare provider in Montana is seeking a Surgical Technician to ensure patient care and safety during surgical procedures. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and current CST and Basic Life Support certifications. You will assist in preparing the Operating Room, maintain sterile conditions, and support surgeons during procedures. About the role

$5,000 Discretionary Sign-On Bonus

Under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technician is responsible for the care and safety of the patient during the surgical procedures, provides technical assistance in the Operating Room; has knowledge relative to the ages of the patients served. Essential job functions include preparing the room with the nursing staff for the surgical procedure, in a timely and organized manner; correctly practices the principles of asepsis; cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes all equipment in the OR, and Endoscopic Lab; coordinates care of the patient with the RN Circulator; stocks and replaces CS items, prepares CS inventory sheet; maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures; assists the physician during surgical procedures, and has correct instrumentation organized and available; Follows verbal physician orders in the operating suite; handles surgical specimens; compiles the necessary equipment on the surgical field; timely documents unusual occurrence reports, and other departmental forms as required; performs CPR as needed; correctly and proficiently uses all applicable instruments and equipment; cleans and wraps instruments for sterilization; transports patient to and from the OR; monitors surgical equipment, maintenance and repairs; completes duties as technical scrub in OR; prepares room and equipment for Endoscopy procedures; must maintain a cooperative disposition, within the OR room; other duties as required.

Qualifications
  • High School Diplomas or equivalent.
  • Current CST Certification required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Must be able to make sound judgement.
  • Ability to successfully pass Background Check and Drug Screen.

Starting pay range varies based on experience up to 10 years.
