Job summary

Bozeman Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to function as the scrub person under the supervision of the surgeon and RN. You will ensure a safe OR environment, verify instrument functionality, and support the operative procedure with expert knowledge of surgical technique and anatomy.

Required credentials include a High School Diploma, graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program (or equivalent military program) and CST certification, along with current BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent military surgical technologist program.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assure completion of case carts per preference cards and procure instruments and supplies.
• Communicate clearly with OR staff and sterile processing to coordinate instrumentation for cases.
• Review daily schedule with charge nurse and sterile processing to identify turnover delays and scheduling issues.
• Coordinate core phone communications and breaks; delegate duties accordingly.
• Serve as a resource for SPD and Surgical Services for procurement of items for procedures.
• Coordinate with materials management regarding supply utilization and deployment.
