SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking a Surgical Technician (Evening shift). The role involves assisting the surgical team in the operating room, preparing and handling instruments, and ensuring aseptic technique under RN supervision.

Required is graduation from a technical OR program and at least 1 year CST experience, with BLS HCP certification and CST or NCCT credentials. Sign-on bonus and evening differential offered.

Qualifications

• BLS HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - NBSTSA
• Tech in Surgery - Certified - NCCT
• National Registered Surgical Technician (NRST) - American Allied Health Association (AAH)

Responsabilités

• Practices and implements the technical components of patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Collaborates with the RN and other healthcare professionals to implement an integrated plan of care.
• Prepares equipment, supplies and resources based on an individualized plan of care; re-evaluates needs as required.
• Communicates accurate and timely information to the Registered Nurse regarding patients in their care.
• Operates surgical equipment and instruments with proper aseptic technique.
• Maintains documentation and lab specimen handling per standards.
• Demonstrates time management and prioritization in a busy OR setting.
