Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Endovascular Unit in Chattanooga, TN. The CST will support the surgical team by preparing the sterile field, assisting with patient setup, and supplying instruments and equipment during procedures.

Under the Circulating RN, the CST ensures sterile technique, accurate instrument counts, and smooth operation of the surgical suite to promote high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate / GED required.
• (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or Work Experience in Lieu of Credential, or (TS-C) Tech in Surgery - Certified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite for procedures under the Circulating RN.
• Position and prepare the patient for surgery.
• Provide instruments, equipment, and supplies to the surgical team during procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure proper instrument counts.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Position Summary

The Certified Surgical Technologist delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing various functions to support the efficient operation of the surgical suite. Under the supervision of the Circulating RN, the Certified Surgical Technologist prepares the surgical suite, positions and prepares the patient, and provides instruments, equipment, and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure. The Certified Surgical Technologist ensures a sterile field, proper instrument counts, and proper operation of instruments and equipment. The Certified Surgical Technologist participates in patient‑specific care as directed and follows service excellence standards to promote optimum patient satisfaction.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
• (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or Work Experience in Lieu of Credential, or (TS-C) Tech in Surgery - Certified

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB‑GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
