Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Endovascular Unit. Under the supervision of the Circulating RN, you will prepare the surgical suite, position patients, provide instruments, and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures.

• Basic Life Support/CPR required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical suite and position the patient.
• Provide instruments, equipment and supplies to the surgical team during procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field, perform instrument counts, and ensure proper operation of instruments and equipment.
• Assist with patient-specific care under the Circulating RN and promote service excellence.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Position Summary

The Certified Surgical Technologist delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing various functions to support the efficient operation of the surgical suite. Under the supervision of the Circulating RN, the Certified Surgical Technologist prepares the surgical suite, positions and prepares the patient, and provides instruments, equipment, and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure. The Certified Surgical Technologist ensures a sterile field, proper instrument counts, and proper operation of instruments and equipment. The Certified Surgical Technologist participates in patient-specific care as directed and follows service excellence standards to promote optimum patient satisfaction.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
• (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or Work Experience in Lieu of Credential, or (TS-C) Tech in Surgery - Certified

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
