Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support surgeons and the OR team in invasive and minimally invasive procedures. You will ensure sterile technique, prepare the operating room, pass instruments, and assist in maintaining patient safety throughout procedures.

You will collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and circulators, perform counts, manage supplies, and participate in post-procedure cleanup while adhering to regulatory and infection

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• National Certification through NBSTSA required; other certifications acceptable per HR policy.
• CPR Certification required.
• Completion of a recognized Operating Room Technician course or its equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Performs assigned patient care tasks under RN supervision and assists surgeon with procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and prepares operating room for procedures.
• Passes instruments, sponges and sutures to the surgeon to expedite procedures.
• Maintains counts with circulating nurse to ensure all items are accounted for.
• Ensures proper instrumentation, disposables, and equipment are available and functional.
