Job summary

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist I or II for the Main OR. This full-time, day shift (7 AM–5 PM) includes required on-call shifts, with a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for qualified candidates.

The role supports OR teams across complex GYN, Neurosurgery, Vascular/Thoracic and Orthopedic cases. Ideal candidates have CST or TS-C/NBSTSA credentials, BLS, and prior OR experience.

Qualifications

• Proficient in maintaining sterile field and assisting surgical team.
• Knowledge of passing instruments and maintaining equipment during procedures.
• Strong communication with surgeons, nurses, and staff to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with instruments and supplies.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and maintaining sterile technique.
• Maintain patient safety and organize the surgical environment.
• Assist in applying dressings and transferring patients to recovery areas.
