Job summary

Shields Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to prepare the operating room, assemble instruments, and support the surgeon during procedures. The role requires maintaining sterile technique, anticipating needs, and ensuring quality patient care in the OR.

This position offers a 32-hour schedule with full-time and per diem opportunities. Eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus; Mass-based hospital system with dedicated team and ongoing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited surgical technician program or equivalent from an accredited school is required.
• Certification (CST) required within 1 year of program completion.
• Experience in ambulatory or outpatient surgery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of teamwork and safety in the OR.
• Prepare and hand off instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure safe, clean operative environment.
• Assist with equipment setup, case carts, and flow of OR activities.
