UMC Health System is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to organize, direct, and perform instrumentation, sterilization, and supplies for patient care in the operating room.
Responsibilities include preparing ORs, assisting surgeons, inventory control, instrument recounts, and maintaining sterility. Requires CST/TS-C/CFA certification options and BLS; strong English communication is essential.

The Certified Surgical Technologist organizes, directs, and performs activities related to instrumentation, sterilization, and supplies that are utilized for patient care in the operating room.
Daily assignments may include but are not limited to:
This role will interact closely various departments and committees within the hospital
Work is demanding and requires ability to push, pull, and lift, up to 50 pounds.
Requires lots of walking and extended periods of time standing and/or sitting.
Effective communication with physicians and OR staff is critical.
Near visual acuity required to work with documentation, instrument gauges, dials, and equipment indicators
This position is subject to varying indoor temperature changes. Work done intraoperative is performed in a high- risk area for exposure to blood borne pathogens and other biowaste hazards.
