Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to assist in perioperative care. You will support RNs in the OR, maintain sterile technique, and ensure patient safety and privacy.

No prior experience is required; certification and BLS are required within specified timelines. This role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities within a large healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• (TS-C) Tech in Surgery - Certified, or CST certification.

Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

To provide patient care under the direction of the RN, using the nursing process, in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Las Palmas Medical Center.

POPULATION SERVED: Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient population(s) served: Pre and intraoperative interventions, including but not limited to Cardiovascular/Thoracic, Neuro, GI, GU, GYN, Orthopedics, Neonates, Skeletal/muscular conditions and diseases etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Demonstrates knowledge and application of sterile technique, instruments and supplies needed for surgical cases.
• Communicates, interacts and participates in teamwork on the unit.
• Practices, endorses and provides customer service skills to patients, visitors, physicians and staff.
• Demonstrates knowledge and respect of the patients right to privacy and protection of patient confidentiality.
• Communicates and participates in patient care activities in direct conjunction with the Registered Nurse.
• Other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (TS-C) Tech in Surgery - Certified, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist
