Job summary

Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, Texas is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support sterile technique and perioperative care under the direction of the RN. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient privacy, and high standards of patient care.

This is a no-travel opportunity with a comprehensive benefits package aligned with HCA Healthcare initiatives. Candidates should be certified CST/TS-C or NRST, with a High School diploma or GED and BCLS within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• Basic life support certification required within 30 days of start date.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certification as CST/NRST or TS-C per the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under RN direction using nursing process.
• Maintain sterile technique, instruments, and supplies for surgical cases.
• Communicate and collaborate with the unit team and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Assist with patient care activities in conjunction with the Registered Nurse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary And Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY: To provide patient care under the direction of the RN, using the nursing process, in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Del Sol Medical Center.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrates knowledge and application of sterile technique, instruments and supplies needed for surgical cases.
• Communicates, interacts and participates in teamwork on the unit.
• Practices, endorses and provides customer service skills to patients, visitors, physicians and staff.
• Demonstrates knowledge and respect of the patients right to privacy and protection of patient confidentiality.
• Communicates and participates in patient care activities in direct conjunction with the Registered Nurse.
• Other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
• (TS-C) Tech in Surgery - Certified, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or (NRST) Nationally Registered Surgical Technician
