Job summary

Houston Physicians Hospital in Webster, Texas is hiring a PRN Certified Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech to support our ambulatory surgery center. You will scrub for procedures, maintain sterile field, prepare supplies and assist the surgical team.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, completed Surgical Technician program, state certification, and preferably prior ASC experience; strong aseptic technique, adaptability, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent education/experience.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Aseptic technique understanding and implementation.
• Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions; strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for surgical procedures and function as a member of the surgical team.
• Maintain a sterile field during procedures; prepare supplies and equipment.
• Support quality improvement activities and collaborate with physicians and staff.
