Sign on Bonus: $7,500

GENERAL SUMMARY:

• Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
• Prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile drapes, sterile solutions, and appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
• Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Location: Henry Ford Hospital St. John Hospital - Detroit
• Shift: Rotating

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience, OR
• Associate's degree or technical degree, OR
• 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer, accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• One or more of the following credentials obtained prior to hire or transfer:
• Surgical Tech credential from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), OR
• Surgical Tech credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
