Schedule Details: Monday through Friday, On Call - Required

Scheduled Hours: 10:45am to 11:15pm on-call for overnight and weekends

Shift: 2 - Evening Shift, 8 Hours (United States of America)

Hours: 32

Cost Center: 10010 - 2110 Operating Room

Union: UFCW (United Food and Commercial Workers)

Under the direction of the RN circulator and in accordance with Medicare Conditions of Participation, assists surgical teams during operative procedures. Responsibilities include preparing sterile setups, assisting in patient positioning, performing sterile scrub procedures, passing instruments and supplies, and participating in operating room turnover.

$7,500 Sign-on Bonus. Your Talent Acquisition Consultant will discuss eligibility during the recruitment process.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrates proficiency in the scrub role across assigned specialties, promoting teamwork and precepting co-workers.
  2. Prepares the Operating Room for cases, including selecting and checking case carts and supplies.
  3. Anticipates and requests special equipment and supplies needed for procedures.
  4. Assists the operative team, responds to needs during cases, and recognizes emergency situations.
  5. Tracks instruments and supplies, labels medications, and cares for specimens to ensure proper handling and identification.

Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

  • Successful completion of an accredited surgical technology program and certification as a surgical technologist.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, maintained biennially.

Experience/Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of Surgical Technology.
