Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Graduate from an accredited surgical technologist program is required.
• Current Surgical Technologist license in Virginia is mandatory.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Experience in sterile processing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the scrub technologist during surgical and invasive procedures.
• Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies.
• Ensure proper sterile technique and field maintenance.
• Assist with sterile draping and provide instruments to the surgical team.
• Support turnover and setup of operating rooms between procedures.
• Participate in ongoing education and skills validation.
