Job Summary

The OR Scrub Tech/Surgical Technologist supports the OR Registered Nurse and provides sterile scrub service for patients undergoing surgery within the OR suite.

• Set up the sterile surgical field using aseptic technique and knowledge of anatomy, instrumentation, suturing, passing, dissecting, retracting, and wound closure.
• Assist the circulating RN with OR set up, equipment, and patient positioning.
• Perform supply management duties and break down the instrument table.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or equivalent training (required).
• Certified Surgical Technologist and licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia (required).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
