Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodforest is hiring a Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech to join our outpatient surgical team. The role prepares supplies and equipment, maintains a sterile field, and supports the surgical team across Orthopedics, Total Joints, Spine and Pain Management.

Position requires Weekdays only, with possible early mornings or later evenings; no holidays or weekends or on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• Completion of Surgical Technician program or equivalent experience.
• Certification as required by state/center.
• Orthopedic experience required.

We have 3 OR rooms and 1 treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedics, Total Joints, Spine, Pain Management. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Woodforest

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Orthopedic experience required
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
