UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA, is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Main OR and Outpatient OR. The role supports perioperative operations, working with surgeons, OR nurses, and anesthesia staff to deliver high-quality surgical care.

Position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited tech program; BLS is mandatory, NBSTSA/NCCT and Virginia licensure may be required at start. Pay ranges between $26.40 and $32.05 hourly.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Currently enrolled or graduated from a surgical technologist training program accredited by CAHEEP/ABHES OR NCCT Approved program.

Experience: No experience required for Surg Tech I (experience may be required for Surg II or above)

Licensure: BLS required. Certified to practice as a Surgical Technologist by NBSTSA (The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) or NCCT (The National Center for Competency Testing) required at time of start date. Current Registration with Virginia Board of Medicine required at the time of hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods; Repetitive motion: passing instruments, lifting heavy instrument sets. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull >50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to cold, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The pay range for this role is $26.40 - $32.05 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
