Job summary

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Katy is seeking a motivated Certified Surgical Tech to join our team. We have 4 OR rooms and 2 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Orthopedic, Plastic, Urology.

The position requires weekdays only – no holidays, weekends, or call. Candidates must be available Monday‑Friday, with some early mornings, late evenings, and some later evenings required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a surgical technician program preferred.
• 3 years’ experience as a Scrub Tech required.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience strongly preferred.
• CST Certification required.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for surgical procedures as a member of the surgical team.
• Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Supports quality improvement activities and center objectives.

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. The Technologist prepares and maintains supplies, instruments and equipment related to these procedures and supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the Surgery Center, as well as participating in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of an appropriate surgical technician program preferred.
• 3 years’ experience as a Scrub Tech required.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred.
• CST Certification required.
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
