We have an immediate need for a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our top performing surgery center team in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities
- Provide surgical and technical assistance to physicians, surgical nurses, and anesthesiologists.
- Participates in timeouts by confirming patient identification, correct procedure, side/site, etc.
- Expertly sterilize, decontaminate, and maintain surgical instruments following established protocols and standards.
- Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and available for use in upcoming procedures.
- Perform routine checks on sterilization equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with infection control policies.
- Maintains integrity of the operating room.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning patients on the operating table and covering them with sterile surgical drapes to prevent exposure.
- Participates and maintains safety and dignity of patient at all times.
- Assists provider by having all necessary equipment available and ready.
- Dispense instruments and supplies to physicians and/or OR staff, hold retractors and cut sutures, and perform other tasks as directed by physician during procedure.
- Scrub arms and hands and assist the surgical team to scrub and put on gloves, masks, and surgical clothing.
- Prepare dressings or bandages and apply or assist with their application following surgery.
- They assist the surgeon during the operative procedure by carrying out technical tasks including stapling, suturing, and clamping as directed by the surgeon.
- Applies and monitors principles of aseptic technique throughout intra-operative period.
- Efficiently “turns over” rooms between patients following proper cleaning technique.
- Communicates all breaches of aseptic technique immediately to the provider and circulating nurse.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of CPIhealth.

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
- Stable work history.
- Current certification as a Surgical Technician from an accredited Surgical Technician program.
- BLS certification or obtain certification within three months of hire.
- Experience in Interventional Pain Management a plus.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong time management, organizational, judgment, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and multitask.
- Cooperative, positive, and professional behavior toward patients, peers, providers, management, and visitors.
- Ability to exhibit core values (Honesty, Respect, Teamwork, Professionalism, Confidentiality, Quality of Care) and regularly encourage others to do the same.
Pay rate: $30/hr to $35/hr | Depending on Experience
