Responsibilities

1. Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile drapes, solutions, instruments, and supplies.
2. Hand instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
3. Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
4. Maintain organized instruments and monitor instrument counts throughout procedures.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire or transfer (AHA or ARC accepted).
• One or more of the following:
• Surgical Tech credential from NCCT obtained prior to hire.
• Surgical Tech credential from NBSTSA obtained within 6 months of hire.

Education

• High School diploma with 2 years of experience OR Associate's/Technical degree OR 4 years applicable experience.

Preferences

Trauma experience preferred.
