Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in North Carolina seeks a Certified Surgical Technician II (CST-II) to facilitate safe and efficient surgical procedures in the OR. You will prepare the operating suite, assist as scrub tech, maintain sterile field, and help ensure timely surgery schedules.

Essential Functions

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.
• Performs the role of the scrub technician.
• Uses principles of aseptic technique to establish and maintain a sterile field
• Facilitates efficient completion of the surgery schedule.
• Maintains organized work area and participates in daily unit duties.
• Competent in at least 3 specialty areas.

Minimum Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Certifications:
