Position Summary: Maintain the sterile field in the operating room, being constantly vigilant to see that proper aseptic techniques are utilized to prevent contamination and infection. To assist the surgical team as the sterile member who passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred;
• Surgical technologists graduate from surgical technology program (**Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education/certification.**)

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within one month from hire date
