Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center is seeking a Central Supply/Operating Room support role to prepare, store, and issue sterile and non-sterile supplies for hospital divisions. The position involves assisting in infection control and sterilization workflows within a busy OR environment.

Candidates with prior Central Supply or OR experience are preferred; training is provided. Certifications such as CSSM, CPI, and BLS are encouraged, with CPI due within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Previous experience and/or training in Central Supply/Operating Room preferred but will train.
• General education level.
• Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
• Basic organizational and computer skills.
• CSSM preferred. If not currently certified, must start taking classes within 45 days of hire toward certification. BLS certification.
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Prepares, stores, and issues sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment to hospital divisions and assists in maintaining an effective level of level infection control.
• Also cleans and prepares all OR instrumentation for sterilization.
