Job summary

LCMC Health in Louisiana seeks a Surgical Technologist to join the OR team and help ensure safe, sterile surgeries for every patient. You will prepare instrumentation, assist the circulating nurse, and scrub during procedures with strong attention to anatomy and aseptic technique.

You will work in a collaborative environment at East Jefferson General Hospital, supporting a culture of compassionate care and readiness.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - NBSTSA or NCCT.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the circulating nurse with patient positioning and preparation of the operative site.
• Establish and maintain an organized sterile field.
• Provide scrub assistance during procedures with knowledge of anatomy and instruments.
• Follow asepsis principles and verify sterile instruments before procedures.
