Responsibilities

• Prepares the surgical suite and ensures environmental safety.
• Practices aseptic technique and maintains a sterile field.
• Keeps sterile field neat and organized.
• Labels medications and solutions on the surgical field.
• Returns instruments to the workroom for decontamination and returns unused supplies.
• Stocks sub-sterile rooms and gathers supplies for the next day.
• Maintains confidentiality of medical, financial, and employee information.
• Demonstrates service-excellence in daily activities and communications.
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments and assists with inventory and ordering of supplies.
• Adheres to university policies and safeguards university assets.
