Job summary

Western Carolina Surgery Center is hiring a full-time Certified Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech. The CST scrubs for procedures and maintains a sterile field, preparing all supplies and equipment as part of a collaborative surgical team.

Strong aseptic technique and teamwork are essential to patient safety. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, complete a surgical technician program, and hold state- or center-required certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Surgical Technician Program or equivalent.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Experience in ambulatory surgical centers preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions; strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for surgical procedures and maintain a sterile field.
• Prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team and physicians to ensure efficient operations.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
