Job summary

Cherokee Medical Center in Gaffney, SC is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our surgical team. The position runs 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with 1–2 days of late assignment per week. This is a full‑time Days role.

As part of the OR team, CSTs ensure asepsis, prepare instruments and supplies, and assist surgeons during procedures under supervision. Required: NBSTSA CST certification and BLS through AHA; CAAHEP accredited education; commitment to patient safety

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) prior to the year 2022.
• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technology, Associate Degree program as of 2022.
• Certification, as a certified surgical technologist (CST), conferred by the NBSTSA.
• Certified in BLS obtained thru the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Certified Surgical Technologists assist the surgical team by preparing sterile fields and equipment.
• They work under supervision to facilitate safe and effective procedures and maintain asepsis throughout operations.
• CSTs collaborate with leadership to uphold Spartanburg Regional Healthcare Systems culture, vision, and goals.
