Job summary

Valley Surgery Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to join the team in Kentucky. The position supports ophthalmology and GI specialties among others across six ORs and two procedure rooms.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians with instruments, instrument counts, sterilization, and participating in performance improvement activities. Minimum HS diploma; certified scrub school preferred or 1 year on-the-job experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of approved Certified Scrub School or 1 year on-the-job experience.
• Basic knowledge of instruments and surgical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with instrumentation during procedures.
• Monitor PAR levels for instruments and supplies.
• Sterilize and clean surgical instruments and rooms.
• Participate in meetings and quality improvement activities.
