Valley Surgery Center in Kentucky is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to join our team and support patient care and experience across our six operating rooms and two procedure rooms.
You will assist physicians with instrumentation, monitor instrument and supply PAR levels, clean and sterilize instruments, and work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, with comprehensive benefits and an hourly pay range of $24–$35.

Valley Surgery Center is a multi-specialty ASC that focuses on Ophthalmology and GI, as well as other specialties including ENT, GYN, Podiatry, General, Ortho, Plastic/Reconstruction, Dental, and Pain Management across their 6 Operating Rooms and 2 Procedure Rooms. The center provides great patient care in partnership with local physicians, Duly Health, and Surgery Partners. See below for role-specific details.
Salary Range: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on skill and experience level.
The posted pay range reflects the range for this position. Actual pay will be determined based on candidate's relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
A Certified Scrub Technician performs technical responsibilities relative to assisting physicians with the instrumentation of surgical intervention. Monitors PAR levels of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in the Center. Must demonstrate the knowledge of the principle of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients requirements relative to his/her age specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the Centers policies and procedures.Knowledge of instruments and surgical techniques; instrument and needle counts; isolation techniques and terminal cleaning of surgical instruments and rooms. Demonstrates knowledge of specific technical surgical skills.Functions within the position description and within the scope of employee/patient relationship. Participates in opportunities of continuing education.Demonstrates the ability to utilize recognized channels of communication. Demonstrates the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, co-workers, and other health team members.
