Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficiency in surgical technology and sterile field maintenance.
• Experience in an Operating Room with established OR protocols.
• Surgical assisting skills across multiple specialties.
• Foundational knowledge of perioperative care and infection control.
• Current NBSTSA certification and graduation from an accredited program.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred depending on department.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Effective communication and collaboration in fast-paced environments.
• Prior hospital or ASC experience with multi-specialty exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and set up sterile instruments according to protocols.
• Pass instruments and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
• Assist surgeons, anesthesiology, and nursing staff as needed.
• Verify patient and procedure information and document actions.
• Post-procedure tasks including instrument care and room turnover.
• Participate in quality and process improvement activities.
