Job summary

Covenant Health in Knoxville area is seeking Certified Surgical Technologists for full-time day shift at Parkwest Medical Center and Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. You will assist the surgeon, maintain sterile fields, and prep instruments for procedures in a busy surgical suite.

Qualifications

• Must hold current and active CST or TS-C certification.
• Minimum Education: None specified; must meet licensure/certification requirements.
• Licensure: CST or TS-C certification with NBSTSA or NCCT.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient care by assisting the surgeon before, during and after surgical procedures and maintaining a sterile field.
• Provides instruments and supplies as required, following established patient care plans and unit standards.
• Operates equipment safely and supports cost-effective clinical care.
• Performs room turnover and terminal cleaning; ensures sterility throughout procedures.
• Assists in aseptic technique and proper counts and positioning as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
