Certified Surgical Tech (CST) – Surgery CVOR — Fulltime Mid-Shift

Join Texas Health Resources as a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) – Surgery CVOR — Fulltime Mid-Shift.

Location: Texas Health Plano - 6200 W. Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093

Schedule: Fulltime, 40 hours/week, Mid-Shift, with call-back, on-call, and weekend responsibilities. Requires at least 1 week of system training at Arlington, TX.

Surgery Department Highlights
  • Engaged leadership and Unit Based Council
  • Advanced technology including 5 Xi robots and 1 DaVinci robot
  • High-volume, fast-paced service line covering general, colorectal, GYN, robotics, bariatrics, and pediatrics
  • Opportunities for internal promotion and professional growth
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with specific employment history requirements if prior to September 1, 2009
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program, military training, or vocational nurse program
  • Current Operating Room experience preferred
  • Must reside within 30 miles of the facility
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
  • Assist in intra-operative procedures and patient care
  • Support peri-operative nursing care and infection prevention
  • Ensure safety and continuous quality improvement
