Job summary

Willamette Valley Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to support operating room activities. You will assist with pre-op preparation, instrument handling, and sterile technique to ensure safe patient care.

The role requires BLS and completion of a surgical technology program, with a 4x10 schedule and on-call responsibilities. The center offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development as part of Lifepoint Health.

Qualifications

BLS certification required.
Prior completion of a surgical technology program.
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

Set up operating room and organize sterile instruments and supplies before surgery.
Operate and check equipment such as sterilizers, lights, suction, electrosurgical units, and diagnostic devices.
Prepare patients for surgery and assist with positioning and draping.
Maintain sterile technique and handle instruments and supplies efficiently during procedures.
Assist surgeon by passing instruments and providing sterile items as needed.
Care for specimens, assist with dressings, and clean/restock the OR.
